Seems the recent blights that RIM have been having, hasn’t seemed to stop companies from making some rather interesting phones. This Blackberry Bold 9980, aka “KNIGHT”, Designed by the enigmatic Porsche Designs.

Hate it or love it is pretty innovative, striking yes, pretty is debatable.

RIM has sent out this invite below in launching this new device.

More and more we see fan made posters pop up for almost anything these days, here is a brief example on some for the new reboot of Superman, Man Of Steel

This one is my favourite, showing more of Metropolis than Henry Cavill, who plays Superman. Here we can see Lexcorp and all its glory overpower Metropolis. JustHunt

Here we see General Zod, played by Micheal Shannon, this looks very cool, not what it’s actually going to look like but very cool nonetheless. SkinnyGlasses

Not so sure about this one, seeing as Zack Snyder is reinventing the franchise, this as a “Man Of Steel” poster doesn’t work for me. But don’t get me wrong it is still a great poster. Jo7a

We’ve all seen the new images from the set of Man Of Steel showing Mr Cavill in full gear in this pose, well most of us, this poster is a cool representation on that image. I like it, the colours and the mood fit perfectly. JohnathanRudolph

This is another cool poster, this one has Henry Cavill photoshopped into the suit, i like it very well done. Hobo95

This poster we’ve had on our blog before, Fan Made Man Of Steel, and I still love it, simple, evoking, striking in its colours, pose, and execution.

Daniel Moretti does very good work.

There’s no two ways about it, this was copied from the Dark Knight Rises fan made, I posted awhile go here, at first I didn’t like it, then I looked at it again, and still didn’t like it, unfortunately in my opinion it doesn’t work for Superman, however, as everyone is still under the notion of a darker, more intense Superman that Zack Snyder is bringing it does fit his style. alilzeker

Thanks to ForeverGeek for compiling the posters.

So here are some awesome character posters for Cowboys and Aliens. I’m so excited for this film, especially after getting the graphic novel.

Synopsis:

1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don’t welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It’s a town that lives in fear. But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he’s been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveler Ella (Olivia Wilde), he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents–townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors–all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival.

London Olympics Unveil Medal Designs

So here we go, the design for the London Olympics have been revealed recently. David Watkins, British artist, a model-maker for Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey is the designer responsible for the London Olympics medals.

“Its key symbols juxtapose, front and back, the goddess Nike for the spirit and tradition of the Games, and the River Thames for the city of London,” Watkins said in a statement.

Watkins was chosen out of six artists who were asked to create a design.

“The design is dynamic, full of energy and makes ingenious use of the 2012 symbol,” said Sir John Sorrell, who was part of the panel selecting the medal design. “It is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship with a crystalline, jewel-like quality.”

It looks beautiful and I do approve of the design! well done guys!
