Now I’ve always loved Star Wars art, and the folks at GeekTyrant reminded me again how amazing this franchise is. Yes I’m biased but I don’t really care.

I love these pieces and I’ve actually seen them before and Cédric Delsaux is one of my favourite photographers.

“French photographer Cédric Delsaux started out taking photos of what he calls “the peripheral zones” of modern cities – wastelands, empty deserts, scrapyards. Yet something was missing – and then he had the idea of placing characters from Star Wars into the images, giving C3PO and the Millennium Falcon modern settings that somehow seamlessly fit.

His haunting photos help us reflect on the urban environments of Paris and Dubai, the addition of a few stormtroopers and Darth Vader laying bare the effect of these domineering concrete landscapes.

George Lucas calls them ‘one of the most unique and intriguing interpretations that I have seen.'”

Amazing stuff. And looks like George Lucas agrees. Find Dark Lens on Amazon to get these awesome prints.

Seems the recent blights that RIM have been having, hasn’t seemed to stop companies from making some rather interesting phones. This Blackberry Bold 9980, aka “KNIGHT”, Designed by the enigmatic Porsche Designs.

Hate it or love it is pretty innovative, striking yes, pretty is debatable.

RIM has sent out this invite below in launching this new device.

After more than half a million votes were cast, the late Steve Jobs has been deemed the Most Influential Man of 2011 by AskMen readers. The co-founder, chairman and former CEO of Apple Incorporated claimed the number one position ahead of an eclectic group that included everyone from outspoken rapper Kanye West to the members of the US Navy’s SEAL Team Six which stormed Osama bin Laden’s fortified compound in May.

Jobs was just one of a number of leaders in the digital space to make the list, reinforcing just how much influence on the modern man emanates from the tech world. Google CEO Larry Page, Facebook CEO/President Mark Zuckerberg, internet troublemakers Anonymous and the controversial Aussie whistleblower Julian Assange all placed highly in the list, rubbing shoulders with professional athletes and Hollywood A-listers.

BUGATTI 16C GALIBIER

This extremely stunning, extremely Italian, Bugatti 16c Galibier, is a pure and unadulterated exercise in excess. Don’t get me wrong this car is just beautiful, gorgeous, mind bogglingly pretty, but Its become so convoluted to the point where the true beauty, the engineering beauty of the Veyron, has lost all meaning. And the custom luggage doesn’t help the case.

I love Bugatti, their history speaks for itself, that is why I will withhold final judgement until the car is launched in 2015.

Tell us what you think.
