“The key to good minimalistic design is to use as few shapes as possible, and make sure it’s rich in symbolism. No detail — not even the contrast between the colors used — is to be wasted. All of it must serve the purpose of conveying much with little.”

Check out more minimal posters, seems like we do them a lot, I love these, check out

Inception Chair

This chair inspired by its namesake, Inception, is a wonderful example of design conception.. Hehe in other words it follows its concept rather well. A work by an RSID student, Vivian Chiu, is actually a range of various sized chairs that fit into one another to create this optical illusion.

The Inception Chair is designed to mimic the dream within a dream concept from the Inception movie, and the chair is made from ash and it measures 16 inches by 16 inches by 32 inches.

“The mechanism works so that the pegs fit into the grooves of the chair one size bigger and slides into place so that the horizontal edge between the chair seat and back line up. The simple mechanism allows the chairs to be taken apart and put together with ease.”

Below is a list of the Academy Award winners. Just my thoughts on the below.  A bit upset that Kings Speech cleaned up the way it did.  Chris nolan was wronged! and The Wolfman… even though it was for Best makeup, i was disturbed that it got anything.

What are your thoughts?
