Muppets again!! This should be awesome! Walt Disney Pictures is re-introducing this awesome crew back into mainstream culture.

The cast includes, Jason Segel and Amy Adams in the lead human roles. But as is custom of any Muppets film its sure to have a long list of cameos, so far the list includes Jack Black, Zach Galifianakis, Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones, French Stewart, Billy Crystal, Alan Arkin, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kristen Schaal, Emily Blunt and Ricky Gervais. Dave Grohl from the rock band The Foo Fighters and Flight of the Concords star Bret McKenzie will also appear in the film.

“Written by Segel and Nicholas Stoller, the story features Segel as a human named Gary whose best friend is Walter, a new iPhone-wielding Muppet. These two die-hard Muppet fans go on a journey with Gary’s girlfriend Mary to defeat the evil Tex Richman, a man who doesn’t find the Muppets funny and thinks he can smell oil beneath their studio.”

Sounds just like the random far-fetched nature of the Muppets that I love.

Walt Disney Pictures is scheduled to release The Muppets Movie in theaters on November 23rd, 2011.

the grass is greener on the welded side

For those of you that don’t know, Vanity Fair has been on the forefront of innovative cover design and style. This time they’ve blown up this cover in honour of the prestigious Oscars. Glamour and sexy are a few words that come to mind. The Vanity Fair Hollywood shows stars like, Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund, Noomi Rapace, and Robert Duvall. And our hosts for the evening the lovely, beautiful, regal, sexy, and gorgeous Anne Hathaway (excuse my favouritism) and James Franco.

This is what the magazine’s fashion and style director, Jessica Diehl had this to say:

“We wanted to evoke the glamour of 1930s Shanghai, an era of smoky, alluring elegance, We had the gentlemen looking dashing in black tie, whilst the ladies were radiant in spring’s gowns – from Gucci to Yves Saint Laurent – and glittering with diamonds from Chanel and other arbiters of glamour.”
