Ok we’ve gone sneaker crazy this week, what with waxlyrical’s swizz beatz sneakers, my stussy and vans posts.

These guys here could be my fav thus far, the stussy’s are awesome but these are red!! Hehe.. I love red! And with a hint of yellow on the extra laces, footbed and outsole.

Japanese footwear imprint UBIQ teamed up with Japanese Hip Hop Artist Seamo, to create these bad boys, Fatima Mid.

Check out the new ad campaign for Creative Recreation’s Spring 2011 collection, shot in Bali.  Too dope.

I’ve also included their ad campaign for the previous season, Fall 2010 (shot in Kenya) just because I think the brand is THAT cool:)

Check it out, pics below are straight from their website:  www.cr8rec.com

I think in art and photography, there are lines. “Legal” and “Illegal”.. These lines are different to various people.. I on one hand love graffiti and the purity and the edgy nature of it. This guy, Ozkar Giorgias, has photographed his sneakers from his years as a graffiti artist which started 12years ago.

Some additions to the preview of his 2011 collection for Adidas.

Check out the Flinstones-inspired hi-tops and for those of you who weren’t feeling the Teddy Bear Metro Attitudes,  how about the  ‘Panda’?

And I’m seriously digging the JS Wings sandals.  MAD FRESH!

Out of interest’s sake I’ve included a pic of a Mickey Mouse-inspired sneaker from his 2010 collection (last pic).

Let me know what you think.  Dope or not?

Swizz Beatz for Reebok

Known for producing futuristic, bass-heavy beats, with  simplistic yet catchy  club anthem-type hooks, for a variety of pop and urban artists the world over; it seems producer extraordanaire Swizz Beatz is about to do a collabo of a different kind…this time with sportswear brand Reebok.

Following in the footsteps of fellow producer/rapper Kanye West, who designed the insanely popular Nike Air Yeezy’s (and let’s not forget his other sneaker collaboration with mammoth French fashion house Louis Vuitton) , Swizz Beatz is the latest to jump on the bandwagon of celeb/sneaker design collaborations.

The hi-top sneakers, have quite a bulky stance, but with the synthetic materials used also have a bit of a space-age, basketball type appeal to them.

The sneaks really pop, particularly in the ‘grape juice’ and ‘bumblebee-type’ colourways.

Unfortunately no information on the release date has been made available as yet.

So, what do you think? Dope or not?

Check out the pics below: (some were released via his twitter account)

What would happen if Adidas had a lovechild with social networking giants Facebook & Twitter?  This is what was probably going through the mind of digital artist Gerry McKay, who came up with these two designs.

Nice idea right? Pity these have not been made a reality.
