Just because I’m amazing!

Well it has arrived, the Top Gear Festival has hit our city and everybody is going a bit crazy over it.

All 3 presenters will be here to showcase what is also the largest festival yet, according to one of the sponsors Highveld stereo 94.7.

“So what to expect in the festival?”  you may ask… well, there is the Kart Racing on the Kyalami Cart Circuit.

The BP stunt school , where stunt drivers will be giving an inside look to how things are done in the festival and otherwise.

A Star Cars, where you get to view your favourite muscle and super cars.

The strip which features Super Car drag racing and James May’s 0-100-00 challenge amongst other things.

The Stunt arena where the Presenters will be doing most of the things they love

For Corporates there are a variety of options including a Charity Event and a tribute to Jody Schekter

These are only a few of the things you can do in this amazing festival taking place at the Kyalami Raceway in Midrand.

Aside from The Stig, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, the list of motoring celebrities is rather awesome. they include but are not limited to David Coulthard, Sabine Shmitz, Jody Schekter, and Sir Stirling Moss who will be very involved in the festivities.

This new 300+bhp KTM X-Bow R now, has no ABS and no traction control, sporting an Audi 2.0-litre four, but this time from the S3, and punting out something over 300bhp!

Successor to the huge popular Zonda.

Pagani has revealed their new baby. the Huayra or pronounced “h-wire-a”

The new beauty features a twin-turbo 6.0-litre AMG V12 producing 730bhp and 811lb ft of torque

According to Top Gear – “Pagani hasn’t released performance figures, but rest assured they will be lightly shattering; that 730bhp AMG V12 – made specifically for Pagani – only has to propel 1,350kg of Huayra, and the tyres are rated to 230mph.”

More specs and pics to come when we get them…

Stay cool

Yes thats right! TOP GEAR is coming to South Africa yet again! Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hamond and James May, and the beloved Stig return to our shores to bring us yet another Top Gear Live show.

Having been to it once before, I can only highly recommend it to anybody who has never been. Daring stunts, explosions, car soccer! its all there.

This time, this amazing show will not  be held at the Coca Cola dome but rather the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, to allow for more space. there will be a standard yet rather impressive motor exhibition, and various outdoor theatres.

Full days activities, ending off with a live show at the end…

the show will commence on Thurs 17 March 2011 and end Sun 20 March 2011, I dont need to tell you book early.

What else are you looking forward to this year? With artists such as Faithless, Rammstein and even… Roxette making an appearance in our Country. there certainly will be a lot to choose from!
